About Our Meals
What meals are offered? All recipients get a complete hot dinner, which consists of meat or fish, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage. They may also receive a cold supper delivered at the same time which includes a sandwich, dessert and a beverage. Specific menu requests are not possible. All meals are low sodium.
Where do the meals come from? All meals are prepared by Hubbard’s Cupboard, a local caterer in Port Chester, following Westchester County guidelines.

When are the meals delivered? Deliveries are made once a day between 11 A.M. and 1 P.M. Monday through Friday. Meals are delivered on major holidays, by request.

How much do the meals cost? The cost of the hot dinner and the cold supper together is $6.50 per day. The cost of the hot dinner only is $4.80 per day. These costs are subject to change and are set by Hubbard's Cupboard. Meals on Wheels bills these amounts to recipients with no markup.

How do I pay? Bills are mailed to recipients at the end of each month. A one-time processing fee of $25 is paid with the first monthly bill. Prompt payment is expected.

Who delivers Meals on Wheels? All meals are delivered by local volunteers, using their own cars without reimbursement for their time or expenses.
